![]() I will also include in the auction the old pull start back plate and pull start. you will need a bump starter to start the engine. I hate pull starts so I have upgraded the back plate for bump start boxes. The transmitter and receiver were never installed because I have my own radio equipment. Only one servo comes with the car as shown in the pictures but is new and opened from OFNA. as you can see by the pics there is little use on this car. I have put about 5 runs on the car and the engine has not been broken in as it is still tuned to about 180degs. ![]() I really like this car but it is too fast for me. With features like 8mm axles, pillow ball suspension and full ball bearings you have to see this car to understand the quality and ruggedness of the GTP series of 1/8 pavement pounders. ![]() These 1/8 scare terrors are factory modified for the street. Packed with all the handling goodness of the 1/10 sedans but with the power to tear the tires off the rims. 28 Force engine with two speed transmission and disc brake The OFNA Ultra GTP RTR, 1/8 scale full body GTP nitro car. You can open more for faster idle.OFNA ULTRA GTP2 READY TO RUN users guide: /pdf/34317-GTP-2-RTR-MANUAL.pdf 1/8 Scale onroad. Set for 1/16th inch gap to start new engines. This will only effect throttle response.īarrel Stop Screws - Used for adjusting Idle. Do not adjust this needle until the Master Needle is set for power and top speed. ![]() Side Carburetor Needle (Low Speed) - This needle is in the center side of the carburetor and provide throttle response. Make sure you start at bottom of needle seat!! Adjust this needle for maximum RPM and power without being too lean or too hot. Master Needle Valve - main control for fuel mixture. and above will damage engine and shorten life. A normal operating temperature is around 220 to 250 Deg. At this point you must stop, too lean of a setting will heat up engine and damage the piston. Keeping the fuel tank full, continue the process until you slowly turn the Master Needle Valve, 1/8 of turn each time, too a leaner point and in which the engine runs at high RPM and power, but still keep max temp. After about one (1) tank, turn the Master Needle Valve, clock wise, 1/8 of a turn leaner or clockwise. Do not heat up the engine too much at this time. In the leaner setting the engine run hot, this is not good yet. In a rich setting, the engine will run cold. You need to buildup a little heat in the engine, but not too hot. Run the car from a slow to fast speed with short bursts of speed. Let engine run at low RPM for one tank to break-in connecting rod bearing before starting full break-in.īreak-in the engine in the car, by running the engine at a rich setting. DO NOT OVER REV THE ENGINE WHEN FIRST STARTING, this could break the piston and over heat sleeve. Other break-in type fuels or added oil is NOT We recommend using one gallon of 20% BYRON’S 2000 as break-in fuel. So, you must run the engine rich (COOL) for the first three tanks of fuel. Therefore, the break-in process is very important to provide good service by the OFNA engine. High spots create hot spots that must be broke-in. There is no cause for alarm, because as the engine warms up, the brass sleeve will expand faster than the aluminum piston and the engine will turn freer.Īs with any new engine, there are many high spots and tight fits in the matching process. As you run your engine, this tightness should diminish. The piston and sleeve are matched for fit and the top of the sleeve is tapered for a tight fit. This is normal for a new ABC type engine. Your OFNA engine is extremely tight when the piston is at the top of the stroke and turning the crankshaft by hand. Please note that theForce information in engine box is subject to change with not notice.Ĭarburetor Low end and barrel stop screws are pre-set by factory. We appreciate your choice and know you will enjoy running it.
